About this Survey for Painting and Design Technology Professions

This survey was developed by Pathway2Careers to help the Massachusetts' Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) explore workforce skill and knowledge demands needed by employers in the state's target industries to provide the most relevant insight to career-focused frameworks used by educators.

This survey aims to:

* Identify potential challenges employers encounter in hiring employees.

* Determine specific workforce skill and knowledge needs among employers.

* Examine alignment between workforce demands and current career-connected learning programs.

* Explore employer awareness of education and workforce development resources and programs.

* Encourage business involvement and voice in the cultivation of workforce talent.

Information and Instructions

1) Time - The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. Plan time to reflect on questions and provide thoughtful responses. At any point, you can exit and return to the survey using the survey link. Your progress in the survey is automatically saved.

2) Use a Computer - Given the nature of this survey, the questions are best viewed on a computer. Mobile devices are not recommended, but can be used.

3) Survey Questions - Most are multiple-choice questions. Some require written responses.

4) Anonymity - This survey is designed to be anonymous. Personal information, including the name of your business/company, will not be linked in any way to your survey responses.
